"Dubble is a smooth milk chocolate crispy crunch
with added Comic Relief"
which is a little gem of knowledge that I'm sure you all feel a lot
happier for knowing.
"But what has a bar of chocolate got to do
with comedy?"
Well, Dubble is made by
the "Day Chocolate Company" and carries the Fairtrade mark which is an independant
guarantee from the Fairtrade foundation that the chocolate is made from
cocoa beans bought under internationally agreed fair trade terms and conditions.
In other words it's stopping the third-wold countries who produce
the beans from getting screwed over by the evil capitalist pig-dogs of western
big business.
"But WHAT has a bar of chocolate got to
do with COMEDY?!?!"
I'm glad you asked! You see, Dubble are sponsoring a new prize, the
"Dubble Act Award", to find the best comedy double act at this years Edinburgh
Fringe. The event will be included in Edinburgh fringe veteran Mervyn Stutter's
much acclaimed "Pick Of The Fringe" line-ups.
The award ceremony, which we are assured will be a chocolate lovers heaven,
will take place at the Gilded Balloon, Teviot Row on Friday 22rd August.
The winners will be selected by Stutter and his team of talent spotters.
While they might find the modern day Morecombe & Wise, the modern day
Little & Large need not apply.
