People have auctioned some odd things on E-Bay; their own Grandmothers,
Human Organs, Plastic Poo, and currently a 20 inch Rubber Chicken (current
asking price £14,99 - with no bidders). Now, female double act Carri
Munn and Karin Diamond are auctioning a private showing of their new
Edinburgh Festival Act on E-Bay.
The pair claimed "This could be E-Bay's most unconventional auction to date",
so we assume thay they have never used E-Bay or the Internet before.
Perhaps if they were to auction tickets for the show printed on pop-tarts dipped
in liquid silver and hand delivered by a Wilde-Beast on a uni-cycle cunningly
fashioned from rare bamboo to resemble the sillouette of Dale Winton eating a
hub-cap off a 1942 Morris Marina, THEN they might be elligable for the top 10
strangest auctions on E-Bay. As far as I can see they are just auctioning
A. Ticket. For. Their. Show. (E-Bay currently has 4388 other
Theatre Tickets bidding).
Ok, so their auction does have a bit of a twist. They are auctioning a
private performance for which they will travel anywhere in the world - so long
as you pay them travel expenses. (I plan to use the same tactic for my
next holiday, so expect to see bidding starting on E-Bay at £49 for the
priviledge of paying for me to visit Barbados).
At this moment in time there have currently been 17 bids and the price stands
at £102.
