2005 is quite a long way off. As yet I have nothing scheduled in my
diary for that year, except during the first few days of January, for which an
entry says "Go to WHSmiths to buy a 2005 diary". But, now I may just have
another engagement to pencil in. It appears that in Spring 2005, in New
York, a musical based on Monty Python's film 'The Holy Grail' will be taking to
the stage.
The show will be based on the book written by Eric Idle shortly after the
1975 film. It has been given the working-title of 'Spamalot'. Idle
said "I like the title but it might be smart to ask audiences on my US tour if
they like it as much as I do, as they are the ones who will be paying Broadway
prices to see the show."
The musical will feature songs written by Eric Idle and John Du Prez, and
Jerry Mitchell will be doing the choreography (for the Sun readers amoung
you - that means 'Telling people where/how/why to dance.")
As I'm sure you know, since you are ready a UK comedy site, the film (and
presumably the musical) features a group of medieval knights searching for the
mythical Holy Grail.
