The Teenage Cancer Trust Charity gigs are a yearly event, featuring some of
the best talent performing in The Royal Albert Hall to raise money for an
undoubtedly good cause. The shows run from Monday March 27th to Saturday April
1st.
This year, the comedy night features possibly the most popular comedian of
the moment - Mr Ricky Gervais, star of (but you know this already) The Office
and Extras.
Tickets go on sale from today. Details on the website. And just to confirm,
it's not just Ricky Gervais on the comedy night - he'll be bringing friends!
Other featured artists for these gigs include The Cure, Razorlight, Goldfrapp
and Bloc Party. The shows are produced by Roger Daltrey, legendary founder of
rock band The Who.
Every day, six teenagers are diagnosed with cancer. These shows help fund the
research and help that these kids need.
