"Jus' Like That", starring Jerome Flynn of "Soldier Soldier" fame (pictured) as the
legendary comedian Tommy Cooper, has had it's run cut short by over a
month. Despite rave reviews, including Flynn's performance being describes
as "uncanny", "a revelation" and "a near miracle of impersonation", the show has
posted early closing notices and will now finish on 3rd August.
The play, set on the night that Cooper dies on stage of a heart attack in
1984, started it's run at the Garrick Theatre in April and was originally taking
bookings until the 6th September.
Written by John Fisher, and directed by Simon Callow, it offers both
audiences who never got to see the great man and those who remember him dearly
as close as is possible to another chance to see him perform.
