It seems like barely a day goes by at the moment without us publishing a story about Bernard Manning.  So, at the risk of again swelling the Funny.co.uk postbag again with a record level of correspondence from silly little BNP supporters, lets publish another!

Yes, it's official, Bernard Manning drinks milk!   Manning (pictured left looking not dissimilar to Jabba-the-Hut) has become the face of a new advertising campaign by animal rights group Peta, to discourage people from drinking milk.  Apparently manning, who has drunk milk all his life, makes the perfect 'bad example' to discourage people from drinking milk. 

Peta, apparently feeling that the supply of milk causes inconvenience to cows, claim tenuous links between drinking milk and conditions such as heart disease, strokes, diabetes, obesity, cancer, osteoporosis and most WindowsXP email viruses.*

Peta's Sean Gifford (who is NOT pictured left and may or may not look like C3-PO), said: "Our poster is an attack on the dairy industry campaign The White Stuff - Are You Made Of It?, which not only gives the false impression that milk is good for you, but also has racist undertones."

In a characteristically witty statement***, Manning said: "If they want to promote me, then more power to their elbow."

* Note - There is no evidence at this time to support links between computer viruses and milk. And as such Peta have not at any time made such claims.
