Anyone who watched Billy Connolly's recent televsion tour of Great Britain
would have noticed that when he wasn't driving his trademark yellow LandRover
Defender, he was driving a large motor-trike (like a motorbike, but with an
extra wheel. 2 + 1 = 3).
Connolly is himself a keen biker and is patron of the National Association
for Bikers with a Disability. He is soon to feature their good work on a
documentary for Sky Television's Men & Motors channel. He will also be
donating his fee for the show to the organisation, which helps people with
disabilities enjoy biking.
We racked our brains to think of something witty or humorous to say about
disabled bikers, but couldn't come up with anything even remotely tasteful (damn
them!). Sorry. We promise to include some extra penis gags is some
later news stories to make up for it.
Disabled Bikers will be shown on Men and Motors at 8pm on October 29, with
repeats at various times in the following days.
