Ricky
Gervais has been portrayed as Jesus in a comic depiction of the last
supper. The picture is one of many paintings created for this weeks
British Comedy Awards, depicting well known television personalities as
historical figures.
Gervais
is pictured along with the rest of the cast of The
Office at the last
supper, complete with bread, wine and of course Gareths stapler set in
Jelly.
The paintings are to be sold to raise money for cancer charities after the
awards, with prices expected to start at around £500 each. The auction is
also to feature the sale of other comedy memorabilia including a Bubbles outfit
from Absolutely Fabulous, one of Harry Hill's trademark shirts and a script from
Dad's Army signed by the writers.
Other comics to be featured in the paintings include
Jonathan Ross, Johnny
Vegas, Ant & Dec, Stephen Fry, Jo Brand
, and the cast of Cold Feet.
