Billy
Connolly and Pamela Stephenson are to sell their house in Los Angeles and return
to live permanently in Scotland, she has announced.
Connolly, the swear-word prone stand-up, is said to have fallen in love with
the village of Strathdon during the filming of Mrs Brown with Judi Dench, and
bought the local mansion Candacraig House from Body Shop founder Anita
Roddick.
Billy himself was born in Glasgow, but is now the Laird of teh annual Lonach
Gathering which takes place near to Candacraig. Past guests to that have
included Steve Martin, Ewan McGregor, Sir Sean Connery and Dame Judi Dench.
Pamela Stephenson, a previous comedy performer in her own right in the early
80's, has said that they hope to make Candacraig House their full time home.
We say, welcome back Billy. Please go on tour again so we can hear you
swearing - there's nothing quite like it.
