If you asked one hundred people in England who the next King of England is
going to be, chances are the winner would be Prince Charles, what with him being
heir to the throne and everything.
However, famously miserable Northern musician Morrissey has declared that as
far as he's concerned Ronnie Corbett would be a better choice.
He says: "The very idea of Charles being King is laughable. You might as well
say that Ronnie Corbett will be King one day. I think that would give people
more pleasure."
Frankly, the idea of the King's Speech on Christmas Day being Corbett sat on
a throne telling a long-winded joke with frequent interruptions from 'his
producer' is not one that would unduly worry us at Funny.co.uk. In fact, it
might even be quite fun.
Just to explain why Morrissey is out and about making interesting opinions is
that he's got a new album out "Ringleader of the
Tormentors".
