Comedians Frank Skinner and David Baddiel are to host ten podcasts from the World Cup, bringing their usual brand of off-the-cuff comedy and football fanatacism to the proceedings.

The duo, who are well known for both their comedy credentials (Baddiel and Skinner Unplanned, The Mary Whitehouse Experience, stand up and so on) and their love of football (Fantasy Football League, the Three Lions song), will be at every stadium for every major game. The first podcast will be on the 5th of June.

The supporting website will offer information on how to listen to the podcasts on iPod, Mp3 player or straight from your computer.

Frank Skinner said: "I see Dave and me as two, on the spot comedy reporters, sending home the whole World Cup Experience in regular podcast-sized packages. I'm really looking forward to it, especially the We-Just-Won-The-World-Cup special."

Baddiel added "The podcast is a great medium for me and Frank: it's new, direct to fans, interactive, and it doesn't require us to look good. From that point of view, the only World Cup double act more suited to it would be Peter Crouch and Ronaldinho."
