Microsoft Admits "iLoo" was a hoax

It seems that Microsoft, or at least it's British based arm, does have a sense of humour after all. Last week they staged the press conference of the "iLoo", a toilet with built in plasma screen, keyboard, and broadband internet access. People round the world went "Huh?"

Sadly for those of use that think the world could do with a few more useless and absurd toys for the rich - it's a hoax.

"This iLoo release came out of the (British) office and was not a Microsoft-sanctioned communication, and we apologise for any confusion or offence it may have caused," Microsoft spokesperson Bridgitt Arnold said.

Shame really. I mean, there's enough drivel on the internet as it is - how much more great drivel would we get if people could note down those great ideas they have whilst sitting on the toilet?
