Terry Alderton is a likable enough Essex comedian. However, he still lacks
that edge that would make him a really good act.
The main thrust of his performance at Best of the Fest was a long drawn out
mime depicting him coming home from the pub and standing at the front door.
Whilst this was reasonably funny, the sheer length of time he spent standing
there miming being drunk and not knowing what he was doing made it look like he
was simply trying to fill out the time. His concentration was there, but the
audience didn't buy it.
Most of the rest of his material was fairly formulaic. I am afraid to say he
was the least memorable of the acts on the night, without really doing anything
wrong.
