Whether or not you agree with the political views, you can't fail to be
impressed by Jeremy Hardy's calm insightful way his monologues are put across.
Topical political satire can often degenerate into knocking easy targets, Blair,
Bush etc. Jeremy Hardy has seen many such comedians come and go and the reason
he's survived is because he obviously has a deep understanding of the political
system, its faults as well as its freedoms.
The act was very funny, as well as thought provoking. Hardy is apparently
paranoid about his increasing years, slightly prematurely one feels. With the
experience and skill, which is still as sharp as ever, I can't imagine Hardy
fading too much!
