Aside from a bit of opening material and some stuff about theme
tunes (with a little help from the sound guy) Irishman Michael Legge didn't
really tell many jokes. Instead he worked his magic with the crowd,
proving to be a true master of audience interaction.
Sharp and quick witted he makes a perfect, and highly entertaining,
compere who can effortlessly lift the atmosphere of a whole room.
Performing on the same bill as Legge must be a load of the shoulders for his
fellow acts as he could surely fashion the rowdiest rabble into a good natured
and receptive audience.
