An up and coming comedian who, as yet, has little to make him stand out from
the crowd. However, there are signs of a level of intelligence in his
material that could certainly set him apart as time goes on.
Bloom had the unenviable task of being the opening act of the opening heat of
the York Comedy Festival's 2004 National Talent Hunt, a difficult position for
even the most established of acts. Despite this he appeared relaxed and
easy going and quickly built a rappor with the audience.
A few of his chosen subjects were perhaps a little derivative, but when that
afore-mentioned intelligence came in to play, a clever use of language and some
wonderful observations emerged that will surely carry him far.
