Leicester's Matt Hollins mixes a range of original subjects, off
the wall stories and puns. It's no mean feat to find untrodden ground
in comedy these days, but with a unique, sometimes surreal,
twist he pulls it off covering topics as strange and diverse as sex rating t-shirts and
Liam Gallagher working in a biscuit factory.
The deadpan style generally works well, although at
times the delivery felt just a little too slow. This minor point aside, Hollins has the signs of a strong act
in the making. One to watch.
