Frank Honeybone is the first to admit that he appears to be a welsh Elvis
Costello tribute act. Fortunately for comedy fans he isn’t and Oliver’s
army will just have to go home disappointed.
While he lets himself down slightly with some material about the
drearyness of Wales, a topic which seems to be a mainstay in the set of
virtually any act capable of pronouncing the world's longest train station name,
the situation is rescued with some truly original subjects, such as his
experiences going through IVF treatment with his wife, which prove to be
surprisingly rich comedy pickings.
A confident performer (despite being a relative newcomer to the circuit)
with a kooky-mate likeability and easy going demeanour that shows
definate signs of future promise.
