I think you would be hard-pressed
to not be immediately drawn to
Windsor as he exudes a charming
friendliness with a permanent toothy grin plastered across his face and such a
casual manner as if you’ve all showed up at his place for a few beers.
His compering ability was
faultless; confidently and seamlessly interweaving open discourse with
individuals, entire audience participation and his hilarious set pieces. It was
very easy for him to get the audience warmed with their immediate interaction
and his hilarious delivery and he maintained the tempo throughout the show.
The subject matter of his
material did not stand out from any other comic but covered most of the safe
areas like sex, relationships and football. He was quick to select appropriate
victims for the night and was brutal with some of his attacks but at the same
time was frequently self-derisive so never came across as over-bearing or
alienating.
Windsor is a brilliant compere and
should be regarded as a good omen to any show that he may be hosting.
