It's laughable, when an irritating "comedian" ends up on the bones of his
arse, chillin' with people half his age. This is not an attack on his
stand-up work, because i've never seen him on stage. I've seen him behind a
bar, though! competing in an expensive, futile celebrity game-show and
campaigning against paedophiles by sniffing a computer keyboard and feeling
suggestable. However, the real life Alan Partridge seems a nice man, helping
todays youth. I'm certain, that his celebrity status hasn't dried up and he's
not doing Youth Nation, just for the money!
So, after a moderate career in stand up and presenting trash T.V.
he's decided to advance to presenting a two-hour yawn fest, in the dead of
night. When everyones either asleep or on cocaine, that's the time to give
them motivation and career advice. He's abandoned the freedom
of comedy performance to M.C. with well off, "we hate the system" teenagers, oooooh
scary! A youth-worker asked him "when you were younger, did you imagine
yourself to be here?" Aha! M.C. Partridge. However, the said, Youth-worker,
likened the smooth, wet, girly, "I don't drink", smokings bad whingings of Dick
Blackwood's personality to the genius, kick-ass wit of Richard Pryor. Need I say
more!
Good or bad, I have the upmost respect for anyone who get's up
on stage and maybe Blackwood should put his dignity before his bank-balance.
But, until the 18th September i'm going to, in a cruel way, enjoy watching the
demise of a once wannabe comic hero. Ironically, his show is part of the
"Learning Zone". Aha!
