Finally... a second serving of the Bridget
Jones has arrived to brighten up our screens. The film, released
on Monday November 15, has a lot to live up to - but I am pleased to inform that The Edge
of Reason will not disapoint.
This heart-warming follow-on explores what comes after
happily ever after
and follows the lovable Bridget (Renee Zellweger) through a journey of
self-doubt, love, jealousy and friendship.
Just as she thinks shes hit a home straight with dependable and apparently
flawlwss human rights lawyer Mark Darcy (Colin Firth), in comes the competition
- Marks young, gorgeous colleague - with legs up to her arm pits!
To add salt to the wound, no Bridget Jones episode would be complete without
an appearance by the irresistable Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant). All hell breaks
lose when the rogue reappears and becomes Bridget's colleague once more.
There are various references to short skirts, the infamous Bridget Jones
pants and another Cleaver-Darcy confrontation to look forward to.
Combine all these elements, adding a skiing holiday, a
number of painfully embarassing social occasions, a Thai jail and a
rather embarassing skydiving incident and you have a recipe for success.
But does love conquer all..... You'll have to watch the film and find
out. A definite must to help while away those winter nights.
Soundtrack includes hits by Robbie Williams, Kylie, Joss Stone, Sting, Jamie
Cullum and Mary J Blige.
