What happens when you write a young romantic comedy that starts with a
marriage instead of ends with one? Find out here...
You can tell from the start this isn't a marriage that is made in heavan (if
it was, most of the jokes wouldn't work, of course). There are a series of
disasters, various mix ups and so forth, and it's a good job that the two leads
are as good as they are, because otherwise we could have had yet another missed
opportunity.
Murphy in particular stands out as the ever endearing, kooky Sarah, and she
seems to be cementing a good reputation. This may be a familiar story in some
ways, and some of the humour could be seen coming a mile off, but as a relaxed,
no hassle date movie, this is a good choice. 3/5
