FBI Agent, Neville Flynn (Jackson), is escorting a federal witness from
Hawaii to LA where he is to testify against an international criminal.
In an attempt to silence the man, the baddy arranges for a crate full of
highly venomous snakes to be let loose while the flight is airborne.
If you don't know the history of this film then its worth looking up.
What started as an interactive internet project has spiralled into this full
cinematic release.
Played purely for the cheesiness of it, there is no way that anyone should
watch this film with a serious head on. However, there are plenty of people who
should not see this film anyway. Anyone who can't laugh at a snake eating a
yappy dog.
The comedy comes from the majority of bizarre deaths brought upon the
passengers; some are innocent but most have enough of a severe personality flaw
to be marked for death. It's not a case of 'who's next?' but 'who might they let
live?'
The snakes, on the whole, are convincingly digitally generated - even though
they seem to act up to the camera quite a bit - and the filmmakers have no
qualms about where their victims will be attacked. No part of the anatomy is
safe.
A brainless 'B' movie as predictable in plot as the worst films ever but
holds your interest by seeing how far the deaths can be pushed. So bad it's
good? Or so clever that it looks so bad so that makes it twice as good? Or
something.
