The BBC has begun a search for the best sitcom of all time. The poll
has been launched on the BBC Comedy website and allows comedy fans (and
non-comedy fans) to vote online for a shortlist of 99 of the UK's best sitcoms,
plus My Family.
Assuming everyone in the country doesn't vote for the bafflingly mundane,
pre-peaktime, over-nice, dull blleeuuuuyyyrrr...... that is 'My Family', we feel
it is likely to be something of a showdown between Fawlty Towers and The
Office. Although by all means, prove us wrong, just to be mean.
The results of the poll will be revealed in a series of programmes on BBC2
next year.
